- Subscription terms
Terms in plain English.
The short version: the bike works, if it breaks you swap it for free, and your subscription ends when you've returned the bike.
Draft of 2026-09-29. To be reviewed by a lawyer before launch, so wording and amounts may change.
This is a translation. If the Danish and English versions differ, the Danish version applies.
The agreement
You rent a bike from Ring Ring for a fixed monthly payment. After you book, we link you to a bike shop near you (your shop). That's where you collect the bike and where you swap it. The agreement is between you and Ring Ring, not the shop. The bike does not belong to you.
Sign-up and identity
- You must be 18 or older.
- You confirm your identity with MitID or with your passport and a selfie.
- You must add a payment card, which we may charge for the subscription and the amounts in sections 3, 6, 7 and 8, also without you approving each payment.
- You pay a DKK 300 deposit when you collect the bike. It is deducted from anything you owe for damage, theft or non-return (sections 6-8). You get it back no later than 14 days after the bike has been returned in good order.
- You can only have one active bike at a time.
Prices and payment
| Commitment | Price per month |
|---|---|
| 12 months | DKK 89 |
| 6 months | DKK 99 |
| Monthly | DKK 119 |
- There is no setup fee.
- You pay in advance each month, starting the day you collect the bike.
- If a payment fails, we try again. If it is still unpaid 14 days after the due date, we may add a DKK 100 reminder fee and ask you to return the bike.
- After the commitment period, the subscription continues at the monthly price (DKK 119) until you cancel.
The bike
- You choose a women's or men's bike. Your shop finds the right size for you. You cannot pick a specific bike.
- The bike is second-hand and may look worn. We promise it works: brakes, lights, reflectors, bell and lock are in order at handout.
- You may not rent the bike out, modify it, or remove stickers or the frame number.
- Lock the bike with the lock provided whenever you are not using it.
Faults and swaps
- If the bike doesn't work, come by your shop during opening hours and get another bike straight away if one is free. Otherwise no later than the next opening day.
- Swaps for normal wear and faults are free.
- If you swap without a fault, we may charge DKK 50.
- You can change shop, for example if you move. It's free.
Damage
- We pay for normal wear.
- Damage you cause yourself, like a bent front wheel after a crash, you pay at the shop's rate, at most DKK 800 per incident.
- The shop photographs the damage, and you get the photos with the bill. The amount is charged to your card or taken from the deposit.
Theft
- If the bike is stolen, report it on politi.dk and send us the case number within 48 hours.
- You pay the bike's DKK 800 replacement price. We keep your deposit and charge the remaining DKK 500 to your card.
- You get a new bike from your shop once you have paid a new DKK 300 deposit.
- If the bike turns up within 30 days, you get DKK 600 back.
- After more than 2 thefts within 12 months, we may end the subscription.
Cancelling and returning
Your subscription only ends when the bike has been returned to your shop.
- Monthly: cancel with one month's notice to the end of a month.
- 6 or 12 months: cancel with one month's notice to the end of the commitment period. If you return the bike early, you still pay the rest of the period.
- Cancel by writing to hej@ringring.dk, and return the bike before the end date.
- If you don't return the bike, the subscription and payments continue.
- If the bike hasn't been returned 14 days after the end date, you pay the DKK 800 replacement price and the subscription ends. We keep your deposit and charge the remaining DKK 500 to your card. If you return the bike within 30 days after that, you get DKK 600 back.
- If the replacement price can't be charged, we close your account and can't offer you a new subscription.
Right of withdrawal
You have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the day the agreement is made. If you collect the bike before then, you pay for the days you had it. To withdraw, write to hej@ringring.dk and return the bike.
Personal data
We process your name, contact details, payment reference and the result of the ID check. The ID document itself is stored by our ID provider, not by us. Your shop sees your name, phone number and which bike you have.
Complaints
Write to hej@ringring.dk. If we can't agree, you can complain to the Danish Complaints Board via Nævnenes Hus (Center for Klageløsning).
